Installation FAQ
- False Positives With Some Norton (Symantec) Anti-virus Products (WS.Reputation.1)
-
Executable files from smaller low volume developers can be knobbled by this troublesome feature triggering a false positive. It occurs when an executable file does not have enough, so called, 'reputation'. In effect, every new release file might fail this test. Files may be placed in quarantine or disappear without informing the user! Please contact them or search their website for WS.Reputation.1 for a solution if affected.
Uploading the install file to https://www.virustotal.com should allay fears by scanning the file with several anti-virus engines.
- Windows Emulators (or similar)
-
Although not supported, some Windows emulators or similar are reported to run Satmaster Pro without problems:
- Crossover Linux: YES.
- Wine (Linux): YES.
- Crossover Mac: YES.
- Parallels Mac: NO (log/antilog calculation errors).
- ReactOS: NO (tabbed text display errors).
- Digital Code Signing
-
Digital code signing is rejected because it would add nothing to the value of Satmaster Pro other than increase the cost.
Distribution is restricted to three official domains, arrowe.com, arrowe.uk and satmaster.com so please reject any other source to protect against malware payloads.
